What’s even more alarming is that younger people are more likely to get hooked on it. According to one survey, 45% of high school seniors reported that crack cocaine was either “fairly easy” or “very easy” to obtain. Believe me when I tell you that one hit of crack can literally change the course of your life.

Keep in mind that crack doesn’t always affect people the same way. And its effects are both physical and psychological. It may feel pleasurable at first. But once you feel it, you’ll want it more and more. This is will truly lead you down a darker path. It’s a lot easier to get hooked on most drugs because of that relaxed feeling. When you feel it, it would be the point of no return. And you’ll soon start wanting more. Before you know it, you’ll take in so much that it will have an adverse effect on your health in so many ways.

Here are some of the immediate effects of crack abuse that you need to know about:

● Aggression
● Restlessness
● Anxiety
● Nervousness or paranoia
● Seizures
● Hallucinations and a feeling that bugs are burrowing under your skin. This is known as “coke bugs.”
● Stroke
● Heart Failure
● Respiratory failure leading to death

Bear in mind that crack abuse also has it’s long term effects. The effects include damages to your liver, kidneys, and heart. Because of crack can compromise your immune system, you will be at most risk for infections or illnesses. Here are some other dangers of long-term crack abuse:

● Sexual dysfunction
● Infertility
● Paranoid behavior
● Respiratory failure
● Kidney failure
● Stroke
● Heart attack
● Death

● Restlessness

● Uncharacteristic behavior
● Cracked or blistered lips

These are the effects of crack addiction. Unfortunately, I was able to experience some of these. But I was lucky enough to stay alive and be able to tell you my story. So if you’re considering the idea of using crack cocaine, all I can say is don’t do it.
